Kylie Minogue at the Brit Awards last night was £35,000 cocktail by another VIP clubber. It comprises Louis XII cognac, half a bottle of Cristal Rose champagne, brown sugar, bitters and a few chips of 24-carat edible gold leaf.

But making up the lion's share of the price tag is an 11-carat diamond ring in the bottom of the glass.

The buyer did not want to be named but a source said: "He's known in the royal circles."
