Leona Lewis cancelled a visit to Germany today after being punched in the face by an attacker at a book signing.
She had been due to fly out to the European country for a two-day promotional event, but pulled out at the last minute as she is still in shock about the violent episode which took place in London yesterday.
In a statement, the shaken-up star said: "Thank you so much for your support, it is truly overwhelming.
"Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I'm very sorry to those I wasn't able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages. Love you all."
This bloke looked like a nutcase. He really walloped Leona. She must have been in agony.
The singer is due is due to perform a homecoming concert at the Hackney Empire, in the UK capital, on November 2.
Leona - who won UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' in 2006 - was signing copies of her new autobiography 'Dreams' when she was punched in the side of the head by her 6ft 5in attacker.
