Well we have been in Constanta now for 2 months and am really struggling to adjust. Think its mainly because of the language problem. Have only met one english couple but infortunately they are leaving in a month. We are from SA and are wanting to meet other english speaking people but there dont seem to be any in Constanta. Tried looking on expats sites ut not not found anything. We have a son of 11 who also needs to meet other children. Find romanian a very difficult language to learn.
Know we have chosen to come and live in this country but its been a HUGE adjustment.

Actually Bucharest is one of the dirtiest and ugliest city in Europe, not only Romania, unfortunately. Stay away from that city and visit other beautiful parts of the country.

Dear Simeon, u got it all wrong. Dobrogea, the part of Romania in which Constanta County is placed wasn't actually ever part of Bulgaria. I think u should read some objective history books, cause the true is that Bulgaria has been given after the 2nd World War a good sized romanian teritory called Cadrilater. It just happens that Romania lost after the 2nd World War some of its territories including Bucovina, Basarabia, the so called Serbian Banat and Cadrilater (nowadays part of Bulgaria!). So good luck with ur research and in the future try not to spread the word before checking whatever u stand up for. Anyway ur name sounds quite bulgarian and ur own extremely nationalist view on the "Great Bulgarian Kingdom" and on the history itself has nothing to do with the reality!!!

Maybe if you had read all comments you would had noticed my personal comment below.

Jason Neuman
"Mamaia Beach in Constanta is very nice. The weather is great also plenty of sun everyday so far. Every country has its bad and good areas."

Third world is not criticism and has nothing to do with how dirty a country is etc etc it has to do with the amount of income a country produces and that's it. Try reading a little (definitions) before making hasty comments on someones site that clearly had already made several compliments about Romania in there post and through comments.

Macedonia, western Serbia and Egeyan Macedonia too! In this teritories live above 2 000 000 Bulgarians! You just dont know what national catastrophy suffered Bulgaria in the past century and how that so called Balkan "brothers" - our neighbors teared appart the strongest and bigest nation in eastern Europe - The third Bulgarian kingdom! Read history of eastern Europe - you will discover very interesting things:)
