I know what you are talking about. When submitting my freeware, I used a software called Robosoft. One part was automatic and the other was semi-auto. Once I entered the page, the field were entered and I had to enter the gotcha when it was not possible.
When I submitted my main site, I tried with a few services instead.
I never had luck with such soft, I usually end up submitting by hand, so I can tweak my link properties depending on the directory…
Besides, those directories have captchas and dont offer the API, so I’m not sure what is the actual successful submit rate…
It’s time consuming either way but links are links every bit helps

I have downloaded it and it is a nice looking submitter but it does lack features… but im sure Brad will add them and make the submitter better..
There are many Directory Submitters on the market now.. and as being one of the first people to release a Directory Submitter back in late 2005 I have to say they do work and save users time..
One thing.. I wish Brad did not call his product the same as ours as it is the first original Directory Submitter which can be found by going to http://www.directorysubmitter.com and it is load with many more features and loads more directories.

Yes and the first 350 are free. I’ve managed to get 60 backlinks now in my spare time.

So, if the first 350 are free, does that mean that everyone who uses it gets links from the same 350 directories? If so, I would guess that these 350 directories would be considered by Google to be link farms and not of great value?? What is your opinion of the value of these links?

Submitting to web directories is worth all that time and effort. This directory submitter software seems good but if you are like me you might want something even faster. It’s called the automatic directory submitter and it does it all for you. The submission, the captcha breaking, the category choosing, you name it. Many might be against it but hey, the 200 directory submission package is free.

Directory submission is a long-term game. Spend a few minutes each day submitting in your spare time then wait a few months for your backlinks to increase. Maybe directory links aren’t as worthy as they used to be but they are still an essential part of any link-building campaign.
