Citing a family history of alcoholism, Conner says that for many years she was “a functioning alcoholic. If I got caught [drinking], I would stop – I was able to do that.”
(Conner also says in a Today interview airing Thursday, “I have done cocaine, yes.” According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Conner tells Matt Lauer she took antidepressants and other drugs that triggered an allergic reaction.)
Before rehab, she says, “I thought I needed to be around people, that I needed that acceptance.” Now, instead of going to clubs, she enjoys reading at home – a home she shares with a chaperone. “I just can’t wait to get back to work,” she says. ” ‘I’m Miss USA, my name is Tara Conner, and I’m happy to meet you,’ you know? Life’s good.”
Joe Francis, 33, also was ordered by a federal judge to perform 200 hours of community service, and was placed on two years’ probation as part of a plea agreement he reached with the Justice Department last September.
In pleading guilty to the two felony counts, Francis admitted he knowingly included footage of two females in his “Ultimate Spring Break” video series without having legible documentation of their ages, as required by law.
Prosecutors say the 2002 footage in question showed two under-age girls, both 17 years old, engaging in sexually explicit acts. The popular “Girls Gone Wild” videos, advertised heavily on late-night television, depict young women getting naked and often performing sex acts on each other at spring break and other events.
During Monday’s sentencing hearing, Francis’ lawyer, Aaron Dyer, described his client as a “quality individual” who was not involved in the actual filming and had admitted only that he had failed to keep proper records.
But Justice Department prosecutor Brent Ward told the judge that Francis created a culture in his company where women were plied with alcohol and taken to hotel rooms to be filmed “with little or no regard for their age, and without any regard for record-keeping” requirements. The plea deal settled a similar case brought in Florida, where some of the videos were filmed, against Francis’s California-based company, Mantra Films Inc.
In Florida last month, Mantra was fined $1.6 million, and Francis was ordered with other company employees to perform community service. He is appealing that part of the sentence. Outside the courthouse on Monday, Francis said he was singled out for prosecution because of the high-profile nature of his “Girls Gone Wild” videos and because the “government needs to make an example.”

In another incident, when I saw her eating at Le Cirque about two months ago and asked how 'Rosie was doing,' 'she sarcastically rolled her eyes and said 'Donald, do you have to ruin my meal.'

Contrary to what this ugly wind-bag has reported, I have not broken up with my boyfriend. I did not go home with anyone from “Survivor” from any party. I have not “made out with” anyone at a party while I have been with my boyfriend. The opposite has been written on his site. It is all a complete and blatant lie. This person is a liar. Period.
My book was done before I ever met Lance. I do not date people so that I can “use” them. I’m self-sufficient and happy to be that way. I have served my country, I have made my own money, my own career, written my own books, bought my own homes and other possessions, and I’m proud to be this way, on my own. I am not broke. Obviously Perez Hilton is being targeted because he is doing really well for himself with his blog. Now there are so many blogs out there that use X17 pictures and who is to say that every time he used one of X17 pictures that he actually got it from there site. If X17 does not want anyone to use their pictures then they should program their site with an image disable function with a popup copyright. So why don't they do that? It would stop other blogs using their photos whether they are blogs making money or not.
When they targeted him and started this lawsuit all they have done is given him more publicity and more hits to his site and at the end of the day I cant see him losing this because it will mean that we all will have to stop using pictures from magazines or where ever you find them because they will be owned by someone else.
Peter Boyle, the actor known for playing everything from a tap-dancing monster in “Young Frankenstein” to the curmudgeonly father in the long-running TV sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” has died. He was 71.
Boyle died Tuesday evening at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He had been suffering from multiple myeloma and heart disease, said his publicist, Jennifer Plante.
Boyle was beginning to gain notice playing hard-bitten, angry types when he took on the role of the hulking, lab-created monster in Mel Brooks’ 1974 send-up of horror films. The movie’s defining moment came when Gene Wilder, as scientist Frederick Frankenstein, introduced his creation to an upscale audience. Boyle, decked out in tails, performed a song-and-dance routine to the Irving Berlin classic “Puttin’ On the Ritz.”
It showed another side of the Emmy-winning actor, one that would be exploited in countless other films and perhaps best in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” in which he played incorrigible paterfamilias Frank Barone for 10 years.

They say Lane brought a bottle of Grey Goose vodka to the party and unveiled the bottle to the crowd with a flourish. The eyewitnesses, all acquaintances of Setian, say that Garrison then started taking shots of the vodka and offering shots to other partygoers.
