Mariah Carey and new hubby Nick Cannon made their first public appearance last night at Time’s 100 Most Influential People gala at Lincoln Center in New York City.
Mariah Carey has cancelled a concert in Dubai. She was due to perform next Thursday 15th May but has now pulled out of the show.
She last performed in the Middle East country in 2004, after a rumoured concert in 2003 failed to take place.
'Glamorous' singer Fergie was due to perform in the resort the following day (16.05.08) as part of the 'Divas in Dubai' event, but her concert has also been postponed.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Mariah and Fergie are disappointed that they won't be able to perform. They had scheduled this one special event in their calendars and were looking forward to performing for the Dubai fans."
A statement issued by promoters said the event was cancelled due to "the extremely compressed time frame along with unforeseen logistical complications."

Mariah Carey on her honeymoon and I wonder if she will be another celebrity to fall pregnant even though she said she does not want children right now.
According to Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley, she is ecstatic to be a bride again. He told press, “She is very happy. I’ve spoken with her and she is superb. She is over the moon.”
Andre told press he heard from her as recently as Monday via email. “I received an email from her [Monday] and she is so happy. She really sounds like someone on her honeymoon.”
As for his approval of her new hubby, Talley commented, “I love Nick Cannon for Mariah. For Mariah, this is poetry.” But the wedding happened too fast for the Vogue fashion editor to help in the style department. “I didn’t have the time to offer her any style tips!”

Mariah Carey secretly married her toy boy lover, after dating him for just one month, it has emerged.
She has wed Nick Cannon 27-year-old actor and at her home in the Bahamas.
A source said: "There was no pre-nup, there wasn't time".
A member of Cannon's family confirmed the report to US website E! News. Linda Cannon told E!: "Yes, we know. He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him.
"If that is what he wants then we are happy for him."
A source told US newspaper The New York Post: "They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks.
"And she's always had a crush on him."
But although her family are said to be concerned. A source added: "Everyone is happy to see her happy. And it could work out.
"Some people know each other for five years and get divorced. Maybe this is true instant love."
She added: "I'm not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him."

Mariah Carey would feel "violated" if she had children.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I never wanted to feel violated and I know that's a kind of weird thing to say, but that's how I am. It's definitely because of childhood traumatic stuff.
"It's hard to have kids in this world. I don't think I could properly educate a child right now. Maybe in the future, but I actually haven't thought about it. For now, I enjoy my dog Jack's company."
